Good news, everyone!
We are happy to announce that new version of AVAST Antivirus 17.1.2286 [build 3394] was born today.
It was a long time since last release in August, but we have more new features for you in this version.
What's new:
- User interface design - simplified navigation, new brand colors, notification center
- Behavior shield - better protection against ransomware by monitoring running programs behavior
- Game mode - new mode that launches automatically when game is started in order to reserve maximum performance for the game and to suppress all unnecessary notifications and actions on background
- Free version doesn't require email registration anymore
- Performance improvements - faster website loading and apps launching(optimized hashing algorithms)
- Wi-Fi Inspector - previously called Home Network Security now detects even more problems and vulnerabilities on both home and public networks
- Passwords - faster UI and improved browser integration
- Real Site - new name for SecureDNS, that protects you against fake websites (DNS hijack)
How to install:
1. Update from existing Avast version via Settings -> Update -> Update program
2. Or you can download and install from here

Remarks:
1) I have NOT tested this new version. Based on comments during beta-testing, my "gut" is that this may be a rushed (pre-mature) release. Personally, I plan to wait a (good) while... especially for my primary work-horse PC.
