IE11 - grrrrrr!

I opened a new tab in IE11 (Win 7 Pro, 32-bit) today by clicking the little New Tab button next to the title of the current tab.

Surprise, surprise... The new tab opened full of links to all kinds of news, weather (including my exact location), and other unnecessary you-know-what.  I clicked the link to revert to the old format which only shows sites I've recently visited.

But then I accidentally clicked some link to return to the stupid new format and now I can't find a way to revert to the old format again. The gear button opens a box that only lets me turn off certain things but doesn't offer an option to get rid of all that "stuff".

Anybody know how to reset this again?

And when the heck is MS going to stop changing our system setup without asking permission in the first place?  And I also can't find a way to turn off the location. I don't want MS or anybody else to be tracking me like this.  [:@]
